    Southwest To Cut 196 Flights

      Southwest Airlines Co., which had resisted the kinds of capacity cuts being made by other carriers, will eliminate 196 flights as of Jan. 11 as it too struggles with high fuel costs and a weakening economy.

      Albuquerque Public Schools volunteers on the West Side will be able to submit applications, get fingerprinted and submit background information on the West Side, thanks to a new APS satellite office opening Monday.

    Westbound I-40 Will Shrink to 1 Lane of Traffic

      Westbound Interstate 40 from Wyoming to San Mateo will be reduced to one lane tonight to Thursday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation. The configuration is needed to prepare to switch drivers onto newly built traffic lanes.
